These terms and conditions apply to purchases made at osterreich.dk. The agreement is concluded in Danish and is governed by Danish law. A binding purchase agreement is concluded when you receive an order confirmation from us by email.

Prices

All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) including Danish VAT. We reserve the right to correct any errors in the stated prices and for items being sold out. As we trade in wine from small producers, vintages may change on an ongoing basis, and we reserve the right for a given vintage to be sold out or replaced by a more recent one.

Payment

We accept payment by Visa, Mastercard and Apple Pay. The amount is debited from your payment card when the purchase is completed. All amounts are in Danish kroner including VAT.

Payment is handled via a secure, encrypted payment connection (Shopify Payments).

Delivery

We deliver only within Denmark. Orders are normally dispatched within 3–7 working days.

We ship with GLS. Delivery costs a fixed amount of DKK 100.00 regardless of the size of the order.

As we sell alcohol, GLS may ask for valid photo ID on delivery as documentation that the recipient meets the age limit (see the section "Alcohol").

Right of complaint

The right of complaint under the Danish Sale of Goods Act applies to defects that were present at the time of delivery — for example a faulty bottle or one damaged in transit. The right of complaint covers defects, not ordinary deterioration or an item reaching the end of its natural shelf life.

If you wish to complain about a defect, please contact us at vin@osterreich.dk as soon as possible after you have discovered the defect. If the complaint is justified, we will refund reasonable shipping costs.

Right of withdrawal

You have a 14-day right of withdrawal on purchases in our webshop. The deadline runs from the day you receive the item.

The right of withdrawal applies to unopened bottles with an unbroken seal. For reasons of hygiene, bottles whose seal has been broken after delivery cannot be returned (Danish Consumer Contracts Act, section 18(2)(5)).

If you wish to exercise the right of withdrawal, you must notify us at vin@osterreich.dk before the deadline expires, stating clearly that you wish to withdraw from the purchase. You may use the standard withdrawal form at the bottom of this document.

You cannot withdraw simply by refusing to accept the item without also giving us clear notice.

Returns

You must send the item back without undue delay and no later than 14 days after you have exercised your right of withdrawal. You bear the direct costs of returning the item.

When returning, you are responsible for the bottles being packed securely. Please enclose a copy of the order confirmation. You bear the risk for the item from the time of delivery until we have received it back.

We do not accept parcels sent cash on delivery.

Condition of the item on return

You are liable for any diminished value of the item resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the item's nature, characteristics and functioning. If a bottle is opened, it is regarded as used and cannot be returned. It is for Österreich Vin to assess the condition of the item.

Refunds

If you withdraw from your purchase, you will get back the amount you have paid to us. In the event of a diminished value for which you are liable, this will be deducted from the purchase amount.

Where the right of withdrawal is exercised, all payments received from you are refunded, including delivery costs (except for additional costs arising from your choice of a delivery method other than the cheapest standard delivery we offer), without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the date on which we received notice of your decision to exercise the right of withdrawal.

The refund is made using the same means of payment as you used for the original transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise. We may withhold the amount until we have received the item back, unless you have provided documentation of having returned it before then.

Alcohol

You must be 18 years of age to buy alcohol in our webshop. Your age is verified electronically with MitID before the purchase can be completed, and a purchase of alcohol cannot be completed without approved verification.

The age verification applies to the products that contain alcohol. If you buy only non-alcoholic items or accessories (for example glasses), no verification is required.

On delivery, GLS may also ask for valid photo ID as documentation of your age. If age cannot be documented on delivery, the item will not be handed over.

Options for complaint

If you have a complaint about an item bought in our webshop, and contacting us does not lead to a solution, you can complain to:
