Data controller
The data controller for the processing of your personal data is:

Österreich Vin is a sole proprietorship, and the data controller is the business by its owner Sebastian Rind.
What personal data we collect
In order for you to shop with us, we collect and process the following information about you:
- Name
- Address
- Telephone number
- Email address
- Information about what you have bought
- Payment information. Payment is handled by our payment provider (Shopify Payments). We do not store your full card details.
- Age verification. When buying alcohol, your age is confirmed via MitID. We receive only a confirmation that you are 18 years of age — not your CPR number or a copy of your ID.
- Technical information such as IP address and browser data, collected via cookies — see the section "Cookies" below.
Purposes and legal basis
We process your personal data for the following purposes:
- Completion and delivery of your order and customer service. Legal basis: performance of the contract with you (General Data Protection Regulation, art. 6(1)(b)).
- Age verification when buying alcohol. Legal basis: legal obligation (art. 6(1)(c)), as under Danish law we must ensure that the buyer meets the age limit for alcohol.
- Bookkeeping and accounting. Legal basis: legal obligation under the Danish Bookkeeping Act (art. 6(1)(c)).
- Statistics and marketing via cookies (Google Analytics and Google Ads). Legal basis: your consent (art. 6(1)(a)), which you give in our cookie banner and which you can withdraw at any time. These tools are only activated once you have given consent.
We do not send newsletters at present. If we start doing so, we will obtain your express consent and will always provide an option to unsubscribe.
Recipients and data processors
We do not resell your personal data and do not disclose it to others for their own purposes. We share your data only with trusted data processors who process data on our behalf in order to run the webshop:
- Shopify — our webshop platform and payment provider (Shopify Payments)
- GLS — shipping and delivery of your order
- VerifyID — age verification when buying alcohol (via MitID)
- Google — statistics via Google Analytics and advertising via Google Ads (only with consent)
Transfer to third countries
Some of our data processors (including Shopify and Google) may process personal data outside the EU/EEA, primarily in the USA. Where this happens, the transfer takes place on a valid transfer basis — for example the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. Age verification via MitID (VerifyID) is processed within the EU.
Storage
We store your personal data for as long as is necessary for the purpose for which it was collected. Order and accounting data is stored for 5 years from the end of the financial year to which the data relates, cf. the Danish Bookkeeping Act, after which it is deleted. Documentation of age verification is stored for as long as is necessary in order to document that we have complied with the age limit. Data used solely for statistics and marketing is stored according to the settings of the individual tool and is deleted when it is no longer necessary.
Cookies
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit osterreich.dk. It is used, among other things, to make the site work, to remember your choices and to produce statistics. Some cookies are set by us, others by third parties we use.
The first time you visit the site, we ask for your consent to the cookies that are not strictly necessary (statistics and marketing). Necessary cookies are set without consent, because the site cannot function without them. You can change or withdraw your consent at any time via the cookie settings on the site.

Security
We treat your personal data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect it against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. Data is transferred via a secure, encrypted connection.
